Tips for your session
WHAT TO EXPECT
I will arrive at the planned on date and time for your session. At this point, we will have discussed some family activities you want captured and will follow that plan loosely. Don’t worry too much if the kids aren’t acting exactly how you imagined. Let them be crazy! Trust the magic ;)
I will communicate to you when I switch to taking photos so we can get a few nice shots during the shoot. Other than that, you can ignore the fact that I am even there.
AFTER THE SESSION
I will begin the photo and video editing process, including setting up your online gallery. This process generally takes two to three weeks. Before sending the final files, I will send over the final invoice for the remainder of your payment.
You will receive the photos in an online gallery with a pin to download the high resolution files. You will also receive a link with your video. You can download the HD file on this site and also share it with your friends and family.
STYLING TIPS
Choose a coordinating palette of 3-4 color and dress your family in shades of that palette. Most families start with the mother's outfit and build the family's ensemble around that. Keep things mainly neutral with pops of color. For example, choose mainly khaki, grays, browns, creams or ivories - with shots of rust or green or navy. Steer clear of brights or neons as they do not photography well and often cast unflattering colors on various skin tones.
The most important tip I can offer is to be sure that everyone is comfortable. You and your family are going to feel the most at ease if you are comfortable in your clothing. Choose to be stylish and practical at the same time!
MUSIC
Due to copyright laws, I am limited to using royalty free music from sites I pay to use. That said, I would like to keep your families musical preferences in mind when decided what to use. Feel free to let me know if you prefer a specific genre.
